The first point to consider is determining if the phenotype of the brachycephalic cat allows her to be
included in a breeding plan. Once this point is determined, three appointments are planned: the first one
during the heat prior to mating, the second one 20 days after the day of mating, at which point the pregnancy
diagnosis is performed and the development of the conceived offspring is evaluated if the cat became
pregnant, and the third one on day 50 of gestation, in which a health examination and control of the number
of gestated fetuses are carried out through X-ray. The evaluation of the mother's health status and the
development of the conceived offspring will allow estimating the probable due date and scheduling
assistance during delivery or a cesarean section with minimal risks, as appropriate.
