Individuals with similar allergic manifestations may have disease subtypes as a consequence of activation
of different molecular pathways. In this context, precision medicine emerges as a field of science that
integrates big data through artificial intelligence algorithms. Here we review the main strategies and
limitations for Precision Medicine of allergic diseases to achieve personalized patient management. In this
context, highlight the importance of characterizing allergy endotypes using -omic analysis (genomics,
proteomics, metabolomics, etc.) integrated with environmental exposure data, such as pollution, diet, and
stress. Such science is expected to contribute to a more accurate diagnosis, to the development of new drugs
and effective individualization of treatment.
