Institutional Affiliations in academic and / or scientific publications

Abstract

Academic visibility from a bibliometric approach is based on the indicators of production, collaboration and citations of the authors, which is strongly influenced by the uniformity of each author´s name in the scientific work, as regard both family name as well as institutional affiliation.

This paper aims to be a tool for the accurate spelling of the author´s name and the institutional affiliation of researchers within the scientific community. It also offers the relevant regulations for the biological sciences faculty members of the Universidad Católica de Córdoba.
